Cookies and browser storage

Last updated: 12 October 2026

This notice covers the public Renvy informational website. Registration is closed. It does not describe authentication or rental-management cookies in a product account.

1. Application storage

The renvy-ui-market cookie keeps your chosen language for this browser session. On HTTPS, it is shared between renvy.eu and app.renvy.eu; on preview hosts it stays on that host. It contains no account identifier, authentication token or tax-country setting. Delete or block it in your browser to forget the choice. No advertising, analytics or session recording is used. The public website does not use localStorage or sessionStorage; animations remain in page memory. The contact form loads Turnstile’s script and verification frame from challenges.cloudflare.com when you interact with it. This is an external security service.

Your choices of larger text and less motion are saved only during this visit, in the renvy-view cookie. You can reset these choices using the accessibility control.

2. Cloudflare security

Cloudflare protects requested pages and forms. Its enabled security features determine which security cookies are issued. A Turnstile widget also issues cf_clearance only when pre-clearance is enabled in its Cloudflare configuration; the application alone does not determine that setting.

  • cf_clearance: proof that a security challenge was passed. Its validity follows the Cloudflare Challenge Passage setting and its browser expiry; Cloudflare documents technical allowances when checking clearance.
  • cf_chl_rc_i, cf_chl_rc_ni and cf_chl_rc_m: technical diagnostics for Cloudflare’s challenge platform. They identify problems running a challenge; their browser expiry or session lifetime controls local storage.
  • __cf_bm, only if Cloudflare Bot Management or Bot Fight Mode is used: supports bot detection and expires after 30 minutes of continuous inactivity. It is not an application account identifier.

3. Data and international processing

Security cookies and connection signals are used to deliver and protect the requested site, rather than for advertising. Cloudflare may process this information outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including in the United States. The privacy policy identifies the controller, providers, rights and transfer safeguards. The official sources below explain cookies and their expiry.

4. Your browser controls

You can inspect, delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking a security cookie can cause repeated challenges or prevent a protected request. Clearing site data also removes storage left by an earlier website version. This site has no optional advertising or analytics storage. Only storage or access used solely to transmit a communication or strictly necessary to provide a service you explicitly request can be exempt from prior consent. Optional storage would require prior information and consent before activation. Contact hello@specus.ai with questions.
